Elisabeth Elliot's commitment towards life not only had a tremendous impact upon a tribe in South America, it should equally impact all of us.

How much of a chance do people have ...who never hear about Jesus?

The Bible says:  "They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.  For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused."

And when things are dark and confused, it is very difficult not to get more confused ...going down the wrong path, and getting further and further away from the truth. At this point, intervention is even more important and vital.

A person who lives with violence often learns violence, those who live with apathy, often learn apathy. A person can live in an environment and not become like those around them ...but the percentage is not in one's favor.  They are the ones most in need of intervention ...to see the Light, believe in the Light, and be able to live it.
